The company has already stated that there is a large short position (illegal) and has released several PR's citing examples.

that is a common tactic used by scams like EIGH. i would even challenge you to find a single penny stock that did the same and the end result was as they stated.

Nice post, Tigger. You also have to look at the stock value of 20MM shares at 0.05. Just $1,000,000. Now, why in the world would all this noise be generated over $1,000,000? The only conceivable explanation is there is a very large NSS position, reported to be as high at 200MM shares. The noise on the board is amusing, but also telling. Someone is very scared, but it's not the longs. I am holding and looking forward to the end game, coming very soon.

In case some shareholders missed this part of EIGH PR.

The company is acquiring and retiring common stock to achieve a public float of 20M shares.
A new management team will be installed.
Investors are advised that due to the absolute requirement to attain higher exchange status and to fund its acquisitions, the number of issued shares will increase.

Because a stock dividend dilutes everyone evenly. The purpose of the stock dividend was to expose the naked shorts since the dividend list would supposedly require an accounting of all shares.

No dividend (including share) and no audit report. Sounds to me like the "naked short position" they thought existed, doesn't.

I'm guessing that the company is not the one contacting the SEC, unless it's to return a phone call.

For anyone wondering "Why not pay the 10% share dividend?"... I'd respond "Why would the company want to issue more shares when it just announced it was going to reduce the float to 20M shares?"

The company has already said--twice--that it IS issuing more shares.
