Divi's were paid to help the audit. Could have been a tactical move. IMHO. Leaves a paper trail. We knew they would be taken out. Hope nobody spent them.
I guess I am confused over how divi's get paid if the company didn't pay them...
No dividend was paid by anyone. The company failed to notify FINRA that it was canceling the divvy. Two major brokerages--Etrade and Fidelity--evidently didn't realize there was a problem, and advanced the dividend payment to clients' accounts before they'd received the money from DTCC.
When they realized their mistake, they removed the money.
