because enthusiast appreciate what they think is a " warmer more natural sound" the same reason poeple still use tube amps & class "a" cicuitry
no offense was intended ,just informing:)

p.s.a ploperly set eq can effectivly increase:sound quality , speaker performance ,speaker life ,amplifier integrity & lifespan , power handling , most importantly accuraccy.


p.p.s fact or opinion ,the cd, as of today ,is the most transparent recording media available.
and no, mp3 is compessed garbage !!!!!!!!!!!!
