IMHO, if we had "blocking IPR" in 3G, we`d have licensed the majors by now.

david - there may only be a handful that could be considered "essential". if Nokia can deminish claims within the handful outside the '99 contract constraints (why wouldn't they challenge them in current contract? because they said they wouldn't?), then when establishing a rate for current contract, the rate goes down. If we can establish a rate based upon claims in just 5 patents, we will all be very happy with .5% (.1% per essential patent). THAT is some serious dollars.
