I hope it is stronger than the Dallas Cowboys Practice Dome was!

Jet, you're getting the airships confused. If you did read that in a past PR, please post a link, because I certainly don't remember seeing it. I hope you realize that the STS-111 is only the beginning of the stratospheric airship designs. The STS-230 airship will be 230 feet long. Other planned airships are larger, and one of Kroplin's segmented designs is over 700 feet long. Do you think the inflation and launch of these stratospheric airships will be accomplished without some sort of protective hanger?

The solar-powered SAS-51 airship can be transported to the launch site in a standard truck modified to hold the airship. There's a photo on the following web page. Scroll through the images and select the one showing the airship wrapped in a dark blue protective sleeve and being loaded on the transport vehicle.

The exact dimensions of the STS-111 airship are 111 feet long by 11 feet in height (inflated). The STS-111 can be deflated and the body folded into a standard crate for shipment. The specifications are found on the last page of the STS-111 document found by clicking the Introducing the STS-111 link on the Sanswire-TAO website, or directly using the link below. Also, there's an artist rendering on that page showing the STS-111 on an airfield surrounded by an open hanger.

You've never heard of a hanger measured in cubic feet? Well, in my 30+ years in science and technology, I've never heard of anyone describe volume in cubic feet as "feet/Cu". The symbols listed on Wikipedia for describing a cubic foot don't include feet/CU.

I'm surprised they didn't describe it in cubic meters, given our partnership with TAO and the German influence in the airship designs.

Maybe this is their hangar?
