I wonder if there isn't a way to tract symbols here. This seems to me like it would be a valuable service. Today for instance TLTD became a very public issue. I think I counted 9 or 10 threads where it was turning up. It really seems like searches for pubic messages is the main way to get a quick guide to something one might wish to invest in. I know a lot of people use it. I note you mention it as the #1 or #2 reason people subscribe. Finding a way to pull that information out of the clutter and put it say on a thread of its own, or having a daily listing somewhere would be very helpful. A very premium service. Most discussed today, or something like that.
I have a minor gripe about iHub’s text-search feature. Say I’m searching on the text string “GTCB”. The way iHub’s search tool works, it will not find GTCB if it is prefixed or suffixed by a delimiter (e.g. a semicolon) or a formatting directive (e.g. for bold-faced text).
As a result of this bug/feature (take your pick), I miss perhaps half of the search references I am seeking.
I am a bit behind on my reading but I am amazed that no one has apparently mentioned the court case between Geico and Google, in which case Geico prevailed. I believe the case involved ownership rights regarding a "key word".The outcome in favor of Geico brought up the question of legitimacy of software patents. Is this question of rights likely to effect NEOM ? Also, can anybody tell me how to transfer information from the internet to this site in conjunction with a post? TIA tommyo in response to no one
Matt, I really appreciate free posting and Happy Hour. It means a lot to me. But during HH, my posts are counted as regular posts and I don't understand why. Thanks.
If a non-subscriber has been banned from a single board thanks to provocation and malfeasance by a widely-acknowledged malicious moderator, what is his/her chances of being re-instated to the board, and if chances exist, what is the procedure ?
