No. I believe they shoudnt be allowed to be part of a publicly traded company too. That said, there was enough info out there on these guy's that should have been a red flag to anyone. Therefore they shoudnt have invested. I posted, back in the summer a copy of a letter from SPNG's transfer agent showing the AS a s 2.5 billion shares outstanding, the positive poster shrugged it off as a forgery that I created.
I love being part of a group who was exposing these pigs. I am far from the best at doing that. I use Google and was able to find all types of stuff that didnt make sense. Then there are posters who found all kinds of bad stuff, court cases, prior scams etc.
Bottom line when you press buy on a pink sheet stock be ready to lose it all.

There should be no way people found guilty of this sort of thing should ever be allowed to participate in a public company again. Am I over reacting?

Not at all. If guilty the should never be allowed to participate or see the light of day.

Nowadays at least, the SEC usually insists on a a penny stock ban for officers and directors who're caught misbehaving.

That's all very well, but it's difficult to enforce and very easy to evade.
