Rich, you are right the wording is different than I expected. During the process before the transaction closed the shares were held in escrow. That could be an attorney or someone else agreed to by both parties. No different than a house closing.
Not sure why the last PR said GTEL held the shares. I did notice they now hold 26MM instead of 28MM which means Koenigs 2MM were credited as GTEL paid him directly. Not sure this is the reason but I will be glad when the name changes and the shares are registered as it has only caused confusion...rock
