Dude, chill out. I didn't say they were bad for you or that they would cause cancer...all I stated was that they weren't around long enough to have any data pertinent to say it does or does not cause lung cancer.

The flaw in your logic is that nicotine comes from tobacco plants, which "big tobacco" controls, so it's win-win for them. I presume that due to the simpler process involved, there is more profit in the manufacture of cigarettes.
If 'big tobacco" thought there was a way to profit from their product without the risk of suits for damages down the track, they would be first in line at the FDA.
