p&F

No chastisement, but understand that this investment is not about us, you and I. The company and SKS have always operated on their own timeline. If that is not understood, it may well continue to be a frustrating investment.

Having said that, SKS has made it quite clear that the short term goal of id.wave.com is to give the sixty million or so ENTERPRISE users of TPMs are good reason to TURN THEM ON. If this id.wave.com works as advertized as a single sign=on that is secure it COULD be like sliced bread forcing IT managers to choose between making lots of employees angry or turning on and needing to manage ERAS their TPMs (with its other advantages. THAT'S WHERE THE MONEY IS.

It also sets the stage for a great reason to put TPMs in CONSUMER machines and sell them as a tool for everybody setting up Barge's dream of consumer applications which may well require the companies to start figuring out how TPMs will be used in those machines.

Hope that helps. They are building brand first and foremost. They want to get the installed base of professional users turned on first.

pointandfigure: id.wave.com

What I described in my post re: id.wave.com (single sign-on with biometric to an OpenId enabled website) is something the ENTIRE industry has been talking about for several years now.

This might just be the beginning of getting rid of usernames/passwords. Again, this might just be the beginning of getting rid of usernames/passwords.

GOT IT?

You write:

All I want is another simple "GM" deal in the neighborhood of $5 million or so. I don't want to get sidetracked with the next cool technology like TV Tonic etc etc etc.

Well, like Weby said, what you want and what Steven Sprague want, including many of us, are two different kind of things. Short term thinking has never been defining Wave.
