America will prevail, it has seen far worse than Mr. "O". Maybe most people will have insurance since the threat of Obama's uninsured fines will loom. Not sure if the basic preventative care options will cover a place like Forterus. It will most likely only cover a basic hospital stay at some crappy hospital or medically staffed halfway house.

I'm fairly happy with it, though I would have prefered the public option, but it doesn't help when you only have one party working on something this important. I really like the idear of preventative care, and creating larger risk pools, and kids being on their parent's insurance until 26, the longterm benefits seem to vastly outweigh the unsustainable inflationary system in place. I have seen too many people suffer with the atrocious system we now have. Small businesses will be able to start hiring now, with known costs and outlays becoming clearer, and the market has been responding well in anticpation. Of course if folks over 55 years old were able to buy into Medicare, it would have been a lot stronger, but the insurance lobby was able to buy off the right people to prevent this. Insurance rates are expected to double within 5 years, under the status quo. The current system hurts those currently paying for the uninsured more than this bill. I'm no Socialist, fiscal health is more important to me, still every society has social aspects in their economy for the good of the Country. We have a military, a post office, and an education system for example. Personally, I think a healthier nation is a more productive Nation, and I wish basic healthcare wasn't even a part of our for-profit market. But hold your shares!
