I believe most here are good investors and should see the potential in both QBID and SIRI.

I have been long in both of them and plan on seeing good profits in both. I first found SIRI when I bought my Kenwood head unit and they offered a tuner for SIRI that integrates. That was early last year and I thought it was the next thing. I found QBID at the first of this year and have been stocking up on every dip.

SIRI has a bigger market in my opinion and will do great. QBID has a big market and if Frank pull through on the world wide market then we are looking at huge market there also.

I think both a winners and everyone who waits will be rewarded.

Ron2w: your point that Q's market "also cuts across hispanic, country/western, etc., fans" obscures the fact that the individuals who fit any of those categories are looking for THOSE things, i.e., hispanic, C/W, etc. interests, and it is only a small percentage of any of those groups that has gay interests. In fact, the substrata of gays in all those groups would add up--if you keep identifying subcultures--to the total gay population, not some exponentially larger population of all walks of life. A gay Latino or lesbian Cowgirl are still part of the initial target GLBT market, which whatever it actually is--22million, etc.--isn't increased by adding additional interest labels to gay people.

That leaves your analysis simply saying that for some unspecified reason there are "droves" of heterosexual individuals who want to pay $10-12 a month to subscribe to a gay-lesbian TV channel. I don't find that to be a very compelling assertion, and certainly not a basis for any comparison with the market success of SIRI, whose appeal to all the submarkets you mention is simply do they want to listen to an unlimited number of radio stations--hispanic, country-western, etc. radio stations.

ron2...

last night on Q Live...one of the points they made is that there is a male interest in lesbian sex....so you may be on target here.

If Q, for example, is split into two separate channels some day, one for gays and one for lesbians, consider the possibilities as to worldwide hetero subscribers signing up in droves as well.

they know the market...
