I was in the same boat man when I started. I started learning about technical analysis and charts through the site below..

Its a great place to start in order to learn how to read charts, technicals, etc... it will make you more informed and thus you can make better trading decisions.

What i was referring to - parabolic SAR - is a technical indicator which can be found at that site and you can read about it fully.
