The reason why JPM and the FDIC will want to settle this within the bankruptcy is to obtain the non-consensual third party releases. As long as JPM and the FDIC contribute to the reorganization, they will be able to stop dead in their tracks the texas bondholders case, the wmb bondholders, pre-seizure wmi shareholders, and other creditors from pursuing claims against JPM and the FDIC once the reorganization plan is approved.

Once again you are heading for that Pre/ Post scenario, this would come under the class action heading and not applicable in this instance. First off shares are nothing less than lottery tickets, if you sold your chance you have no complaint that is just a sad fact of life. Next, just because there were illegal activities and you sold it does not mean you stand a chance of winning a class action or even an individual lawsuit because you sold your portion of the lottery, there are no do-overs. Today this is still a lottery, if we loose do we get to sue the SEC for letting us make fools of our self, I don’t believe that will go over well. Though some come here to bash the stock there are others that I feel honestly believe WMI does not stand a chance. They will have a new life experience to draw on the next time something similar comes up and will be able to base there investing decision on that experience.

I will soon be loosing my house if this does not come through, it is likely even if it does, so what I will be off to a new life doing something else but this will still be in the bank. I only bring this up because going through all my junk collected over the many years I am finding news papers from the 50’s 60’s 70’s 80’s and some more recent. The one thing I get out of opening them up and reading them is the news never changes only the names. Even the stocks from 1957 some are trading at virtually the same price today except they are given in 1/8th . There is war in the Middle East, and revolutions in Central America and murders on capital Hill, children being abducted and molested. Absolutely nothing changes.
