Hi Joe, I posted a list of possible shorts yesterday, which included a lot of leveraged ETFs. Everything in the list was available for shorting at Ameritrade as of yesterday when I checked.

The really popular leveraged ETFs, like FAS/FAZ, URE/SRS, and UCO/SCO, are almost always available. Less popular ones, like EDC and TYH, are only available sometimes.

You can always sell naked calls or buy puts to develop synthetic short positsions in these securities if you want.

I think all of you should at least check out interactive brokers. I love them. Stable, fast. I often get better prices on limit orders. Cheap. I can't complain in any area.

Joe, with all the trades you do, have you considered automating your system? Most systems can be automated. There is an excellent thread on SI that is frequented by a trader who is fully automated. He is very open and forthright, and I am sure would speak to the required skillset if you are interested.
