I use to have an account at Ameritrade years ago. I moved to Schwab from there. I am sure they have gotten better since. I am fairly well locked in to Schwab now as I manage 18 accounts. They have been good to me by negotiating a lower commission rate and some other benefits, and excellent phone service. I am their most active trader out of their Atlanta office and got to rank up there nationally with over 8000 trades this year. All my clients were getting the lower rate anyways so it is not much benefit to me.
One thing that bothers me is that I see on various boards and yourself shorting some of the popular ETF's. Schwab never has those shares to short. I was thinking of opening an account some place else just for that.
Does Ameritrade have SCO, URE, SRS and eTFs like that to short?
