I understand where you are coming from Beech,

And in all honesty, I really don't have a retort to that....other than to state that I'm more than certain that many of the companies out there that have made millions upon millions of dollars for their shareholders have BOD's that are peopled with conmen.
I would also bet that if Rim had been wildly successful and had made you millions of dollars, that you would have found a way to overlook the fact that someone on their board was a conman (theoretically). Or perhaps you are morally superior to me and would not hold that opinion-I won't be presumptuous here! That is where we stand with this situation.

Am I happy to have him on our board?? Hell no, I'd love for him to be ejected, and perhap at the next proxy vote, we can do something about that...but I still think this company can make a lot of money for me, and until I no longer believe that to be the case, what would you have me do?
