Jestiron,is it possible in a settlement they make prefers convert to common based on some kind of formula example 1(q) = 125(p)and not having to pay dividends and benefitting JPM in the long run.

These shares have been issued June 1008 and are included the 1.7 million shares. This was done by the deadline in June 2008 to avoid the need to pay dividends. they can't TRANSFER the shares until Oct. 14 for some shares and another date in 2010 for the remainders. Transfer includes sale of shares.
