the bottom line is that it is imperative that the public believe that the ecomony is on an upswing. The economy cannot afford any negative news and nobody wants to hear about problems with the FDIC or any other major banking institution. It's all about protecting consumer confidence.
Otherwise beleive me, the news media would be eating this stuff up. Corruption, corporate espionage, are you kidding, the news media would be all over it.

humpback...You are correct..I have alot of acquaintances..savvy folks. I assure you they all think, BELIEVE) WAMU story is over and out...finished...broke and swallowed whole by JPM and they could care less. Oh will they get their eyes opened..but then again..if this is kept hush...they might never know what they missed.
