I look at this whole thing with two different visions. First I really do want to see a recovery for the sake and benefit of all of our fellow citizens.
But.....
Just like this whole collapse was blamed on the theft by derivatives, I don't want an artificial recovery propped up by our government, the Fed and by Wall Street. Any building built atop a faulty foundation is destined to fail.
It seems that the Obama administration is using this financial collapse to further the platforms of their party.
If the financials are doomed for collapse, then so be it...let them collapse and start all over again. They have already misused the TARP funds. Who's fooling who, now?
The actions taken by the Fed and Wall Street to prop the shares prices up are only going to hurt the little guy...again!
Just like I didn't want to be lied to by the former administration, I don't want to be fooled by this one.
It seems whoever is in power, is also in bed with the ones who have all of the money. WHAT ABOUT US?
Those of us approaching retirement have seen our savings diminished by as much as 60%. Our home values have also dropped by a similar percentage. Our Social Security is being threatened as well as the costs and benefits provided by Medicare and our private health insurance companies.
Is it their plan to keep us working forever?
My health is in such poor shape, I could have gone out on disability 10 years ago. Instead, I chose to keep working two jobs so my family could benefit and prosper. Since I have seen my wealth disappear, I have no other alternative than to continue working. I will also be paying higher taxes to come and increased rates for health insurance once the Obama initiative is passed into law. Part of my taxes will be used towards paying off the debt of all of this stimulus spending and to help support all of those who are less fortunate than I, whose determination to work is not nearly as great as mine.
It's funny...I do not look forward to vacations at this time. I look forward to a night off..pretty sick when you think about it.
I term the derivatives rip off as the biggest crime of all time and the TARP as the icing on the cake. Now we are involved in the cover-up of the century.
While all I want to do now is make some money in the stock market...just fair and square. It, however is being hindered by the same foes who brought us all to our knees in the first place.
