Sounds to me like buying by employees is generally OK. It's the selling that gets questionable.

Under my assumption, even if employees are privy to the company's potential, and that potential is bullish, they are free to buy to their heart contents without having to worry about a thing.

FWIW insiders are not neccessarily known for being the best timers with respect to their purchases. On the other hand I do think McConnaughy could do better DD.
