Now guys let me tell you a story about "shooting wild dogs" before you ruin someones lively hood....Last year in northern Az. a group of three off duty fire fighters shot three dogs that were chasing a couple of Elk killing two of them and wounding the other. They to wore collars because they belonged to the rancher....One of the dead dogs was worth $20,000.00 the other $10,000.00 and the wounded dog cost $3000.00 to have healed up. Get used to it DOGS CHASE ANIMALS. btw these dogs were high quality lion dogs and if you think that a top notch mutt won't fetch that kind of money just make a few calls to some quality lion guides.

Thrifty...

That is true with any domesticated animal. You need to get them used to the sound of a gun. This applies to both dogs and horses. As to being afraid of horses...you shouldn't be...but, you should respect them like any animal. Size doesn't matter when it comes to man vs animal. A small pit bull can do just as much damage as a bull or a horse as far as domesticated animals go if you rile them or make them upset. I approach all animals, both wild and domesticated, with a certain amount of respect. If one is nice to the domesticated animal it's a pretty good chance they will return that love. Not so with the wild animal. I have no desire to walk up and pet a Mountain Lion or Grizzly Bear. LOL
