Most including the Bank of America fail to comprehend that NEC, Sharp, Sanyo, Sierra,HTC and even Panasonic will account for more than 50% of the WCDMA subscriber units to be sold in 2004...and IDCC will be earning recurring revenue from each of those licensees..and LGE and Motorola who will account for some 80% of the missing 50% will eventually pay IDCC for those sales..

I don't think signing LG or S/E is too much to ask. 3g is not 2g. We have many of the leaders in 3G signed today. Nobody has sold or will sell this year as many WCDMA 3G handsets as NEC, and it is a stretch to think anyone will sell more than NEC over the next five years. Nokia and Samsung are small players in 3G [even five years out, combined, they are not expecet to capture more than 20% of the total WCDMA market]. Nokia, Samsung and LG don't have the same leverage they may enjoy in 2g. I'm sure IDCC is working LG and hopefully, S/E pretty hard right now.

Forget S/E, they won't sign until Nokia 2G is finished. LG really gets my goat. They are selling WCDMA handsets in direct competition with our best customer NEC while IDCC sits around like an 80 year old man who ran out of Viagra while someone(LG) is doing his 40 year old wife.

LG needs a bitch slap and bad.NOW.
