I don't think signing LG or S/E is too much to ask. 3g is not 2g. We have many of the leaders in 3G signed today. Nobody has sold or will sell this year as many WCDMA 3G handsets as NEC, and it is a stretch to think anyone will sell more than NEC over the next five years. Nokia and Samsung are small players in 3G [even five years out, combined, they are not expected to capture more than 20% of the total WCDMA market]. Nokia, Samsung and LG don't have the same leverage they may enjoy in 2g. I'm sure IDCC is working LG and hopefully, S/E pretty hard right now.

I believe Nokia has a 3G contract already and it requires two triggers. I don't know who the triggers are, but NEC and LG or S/E should force Nokia to start cutting IDCC a 3G check!

Regards,

Bob

Jai,

If that's case, I say "SUE LG."

LG may need a law suit. They probably won't move until Samsung. Samsung won't move until Nokia. Nokia won't move until Arbitration and the cycle goes on and on and on.
