You were lucky..Saturn chose not to have a recall..Those cars that failed during the extended warranty period were taken care of..those that lasted too long..time wise were stuck..

Small V-6 and 4 cylinder engines put out by GM in the early 2000s would overheat easier than earlier year engines...

So they put em in the large selling small cars and S-10 pickups...

Ford couldn't be outdone...In the early 2000s...

Ford started putting plastic intakes on the 302 engines...Mustang, Crown Vic, T-bird, Cougar...

HIGH performance...Run em hard just don't get 'em hot...
