I believe we CAN'T settle. The reason for this is because until we actually win one at some court, we are going to be taking crumbs instead of a reasonable and fair royalty from the big boys. I hope we don't settle for anything less than close to 100%. I am willing to wait this out and I really hope IDCC's management takes this one to the final round and cleans Nokia's clock. If the contract is as clear cut as management has led us to believe, then there is zero reason to settle. Doesn't a contract mean anything?

Nokia tried to screw IDCC because they needed IDCC's expertise in TDD. They got that and now they are trying to weasel out of their 2g obligation because they had no intention of paying for 2g in the first place. As their attorney said during the recent hearing, they never thought IDCC would win. I hope IDCC uses Nokia's attorney's comments during the hearing when they meet with the arbitration panel. How would it look to the panel when IDCC shows the testimony of the attorney stating that they never expected to have to pay or whatever they said during that hearing. That comment could be a half billion dollar blunder IMO.
