Exactly. How do other players learn what will fly and what won't if a coach gives him a talking to and thats it?

So player thinks no matter what I do I still will play but just have to nod my head to the coach for a few minutes.

With Matsui out, benching Melky would not have been the best option. Otherwise the Yankees would have two rookies in left and center.
