I realize in theory it's supposed to work that way. But given what I've read from Patrick Byrne (CEO of Overstock.com) and what I saw in the Bloomberg video from thesanitycheck.com website, I have my doubts it will go that smoothly for all shareholders. I've already encountered major problems with TD-Ameritrade in several Roth conversions of Globetel shares, and I have to wonder if it's somehow tied to FTDs and their inability to close out the paper trail for the shares I purchased. TD-Ameritrade won't give me any reason for the numerous delays. I'm so frustrated with them I'm seriously considering moving my assets to another brokerage firm, but I'm sure that will only result in more delays.

I guess we'll all find out soon enough.

On a brighter note, I'm very excited about the new websites, the range of products we have to offer, and the upcoming trials. Good luck to us all.

FYI wrong board and...

FTD shorts will be left with worthless GTEM shares that they can't trade after the swap and symbol change

Short sellers don't hold any shares, they've sold them, hence why they are short sellers.


Don't let your prejudices, assumptions and ego cause you to come to conclusions which on the surface seem sound and correct but in reality are flawed

ken you miss the point the borrowed shaqres that wweere resold created other legitimate share holders, who now have the valid shares.
The original shaqre holders have aqn iou FROM THE BROKER. Or in the case of FTD shares the MM created shares to complete a transaction and never bought the shares to make the buyer whole.

Of course the solution is obvious but the brokers do not want to solve the problem. Instead they create all manner of causes and possible solutions that do not include them spending the money they should never have had.
