<Mr. T Boone Pickins testifying before a Senate hearing stated that his geological team has believes that ANWR doesn't have the oil reserves as contemplated by industry officials.>

Their is no way to know without checking it out. But it is one man versus the entire industry. Boone's been wrong before, or he'd still be running PXD. The point is you don't have to belive either side, let them check it out. If no oil they go home, if 1 million bbl per day, hooray. We MUST drill in ANWR as part of the solution.

<Another question put to Mr. Pickins, can we drill ourselves out of our current world wide oil crunch. He emphatically said no way. The world has peaked and its all down hill from here. He did tout that natural gas and renewable sources of energy was the only way to go and even this process will take a few years.>

Sloppy statement on Boone's part. EVERY ALTERNATIVE is part of the solution, drilling for oil, gas , solar, goethermal. You doo them ALL, so that the demand for oil is less and the supply increased. I'd remind you also that Boone has a huge vested interest in natural gas and renewable energy, so he is touting his portfolio.
