I agree - I was watching his last game and it was painful - probably more so for Detroit fans. His velocity was fine when he let go but then his control was off and he was walking everyone. When he let up on his fastball to control location he was being lit up with HR's. His mechanics were terrible according to the announcers as the color commentator mentioned ha had never ever seen any pitcher throwing a fastball ending with their thumb on their glove hand facing up and he was opening up toward third base causing loss of velocity and control.
