tainaor:

The Patent is everything here (w/ CLYW), not the product or the competition. The companies that you mention may well be subject to CLYW's granted patent, if it is held up in court. Unfortunately, as the research report on CLYW's patent pointed out, it did not appear that a lot of research was done to disclose "prior arts" such as the ones you have mentioned. If once these issues are addressed by CLYW the patent holds, then these players will be paying a royalty to CLYW.

tainaor: Who are you, really? Your written English has just the right flaws to indicate you may be elsewhere. Say Norway, perhaps? That's where Birdstep is based, and you're really shoving it down our throats! Now you indicated that you own NO shares in Calypso Wireless, so I'm curious why you even bothered to found your way to this board. You insist on getting answers to questions while, at the same time, LOUDLY heralding Birdstep's capabilities. Sounds like you're trolling for investors . . . or company recognition.

INVST, I'm having one of your cynical moments. You're falling down on us here :(

Birdstep analogous to winmodem

i have owned a number of computers and in all cases
have found that i have had to upgrade the internal
"win" modem to a full non win modem

these win modems have been software reliant, slow,
and seem to have had a propensity for getting bogged
down (buffer overruns?)

I have always noticed a huge inprovement upon upgrade

Someone might say "well computers are getting faster--more's
law"--true faster but never in preportion to what one would
expect (software demands will always outstrip advances in
processor speed)

With this in mind--i dub birdstep the win modem award winner
i dont argue that birdstep has its place--but for superior perpormance--espically for key business applications--CLYW has them beat

CLYW's ship should come in, im willing to ride it out, they
have managed to operate on little or no earnings for a number
of years--i think they will be able to survive at their current speed long enough to make it to the next level
