i have owned a number of computers and in all cases have found that i have had to upgrade the internal "win" modem to a full non win modem
these win modems have been software reliant, slow, and seem to have had a propensity for getting bogged down (buffer overruns?)
I have always noticed a huge inprovement upon upgrade
Someone might say "well computers are getting faster--more's law"--true faster but never in preportion to what one would expect (software demands will always outstrip advances in processor speed)
With this in mind--i dub birdstep the win modem award winner i dont argue that birdstep has its place--but for superior perpormance--espically for key business applications--CLYW has them beat
CLYW's ship should come in, im willing to ride it out, they have managed to operate on little or no earnings for a number of years--i think they will be able to survive at their current speed long enough to make it to the next level
