See, Can you get reward points on a debit card? Never had one myself. My wife carries one as ALDI's (grocer) does not take credit cards. I like the rewards feature on credit cards. I am surprised at all the debit cards that come through at my hardware store. Good point about protection.

BTW, new daily sales record at the hardware store Saturday! We were really rock'in.

Not sure I agree that a debit card is less safe than a credit card. If my credit card is stolen, anyone can use it, but they can steal my debit card and still not be able to use it unless they also have my secret PIN number. Also, one's credit card generally has a higher credit limit than the amount accessible with one's debit card, which is limited to whatever cash one keeps in one's checking account (and, in my case at least, that is waaaaay less). In any event, I think if you can prove fraud, you are not liable for the charges in either case, at least that is my understanding.

I agree 100%.... That's all I use is my Visa / M/C... Very little cash. I like using somebody else's money for the month.
