UncleGuido, You're right, the symbol doesn't have to be changed.

But the CUSIP number does. That is the unique ID code for the individual shares. Obviously, there has to be some time lag to exchange the new shares for the old; one to two days for electronic shares and one to two weeks for paper certificates.

There is no sinister motice behind this; it just takes a little time to accomplish. It has nothing to do with "playing with the rest of the Fat Cats!". Believe it or not, NOT everything financial in the world is controlled by criminals or terrorists.

Guido, that's been my experience, too. Check the board for Raven Moon, etc.

In fact, there's a board just for notorious R/S companies. They list the split and the ensuing symbol change.

TORONTO--(MARKET WIRE)--Apr 25, 2008 -- Element 21 Golf Company (OTC BB:EGLF.OB - News) (OTC BB:ETGF.OB - News) (Frankfurt:BJQ.F - News), the manufacturer of advanced Scandium Alloy golf and fishing equipment, announced today that as of April 25, 2008, the stock symbol is changed to ETGF.OB, in connection with a 1 for 20 reverse stock split.


On April 17, 2008, Element 21 Golf Company (the "Company") filed a Certificate of Amendment to the Certificate of Incorporation of the Company to effectuate a 1 for 20 reverse stock split of the Company's issued and outstanding shares of common stock as of April 17, 2008. Fractional shares will not be issued but instead will be rounded up to the next whole number. In connection with this reverse stock split, the National Association of Securities Dealers Automated Quotation System (NASDAQ) notified the Company on April 24, 2008 that the reverse split would take effect on April 25, 2008 and that the new symbol of the Company is ETGF.OB
