The economic stimulus package may come into play here also. Any rebates or benefits to taxpayers will take 4-6 months to get sent. If tax credits for capital expenditures to buy new or update equipment is allowed for businesses they must also be retroactive to the start of the year. If not then companies will only replace what's broken and then wait the 4-6 months to buy new equipment and business activity will stagnate in the meantime. MHO - RTB
