Have to agree
votes are the key
another good reason
why education should be free er

educate the people
give them information
encourage them to analyze
examine their thinking

as the minds of citizens
become more informed
more free of restriction
government can then be more enlightened.

I'm pragmatic as well, BUT, Dem blue that I am, I think they must pass legislation to try to change the current status quo. Even if it has no chance. LET BUSH veto it...... repeatedly. Better a moral stand that gets veoted, than NO stand. If Bush vetoes ENOUGH good legislation, maybe the undecided will decide. FORCE the prick to keep vetoing health care for children (too expensive) while asking for war funding (NOT too expensive?)

It's a matter of taking a stand. In the short term, it's a waste of time, but in the LONG term, SOMEONE has to stand up and say "enough is enough".
I'm just afraid the Dems are loosing their momentum and MIGHT loose the election JUST because they can't show any back-bone..............THEN we'll get HRH Rudy. (and may God have mercy on us all)
