It may not have changed anything, but it would have gone a long way in restoring his creditability. He would have been on the record before a judge and he would have distanced himself from the previous owners... Instead he handled it like he had something to HIDE and therefore gave Bruteforce plenty of ammunition and left an impression with a majority of screwed shareholders that this was and still is a scam...
I don't know if Fan attending the hearing would have produced a favorable outcome from the hearing, but in my opinion it certainly would have honored his commitment to shareholders, and avoided giving the impression that he is part of the scam and deliberately let Olsen off the hook.
