I think one should still reserve judgement until we know what that Willamette sized something in Prescott turns out to be. Of course if it is just some RIAA inspired piece of bloated fascistware that doesn't contribute to application performance then I fully agree with you.

When Pentium first came out it ran at 60 & 66MHz while the 486 was at 100MHz. Pentium was huge, very hot and almost no binsplit to 66MHz. Somehow it turned out to be successful, to say the least.
