Yep. I was actually wondering how far they can build out with that first shipment with the unexpected and extended range. All seems good (albeit quite comical). I sure do wish they'd release the 04/05 numbers. That would tell me the SEC is out of the way. I don't expect we will see the numbers until they are sqeaky clean from the SEC's point of view. This is not going to be a quick recovery, but if it does indeed recover, nothing else matters. docS

I was just reflecting on how happy I am now that the SuperHub logo is gone -- realizing that it's perhaps more representative of the web that certain people had woven in time.

So why isn't the buildout going much quicker?

"Additionally, and I don't think anyone picked up on this from Monday's release (reach of Hotzone units in distance shocks!), the JV does not need as many units as first thought to cover their entire Mexican rollout...significantly reducing the hardware order and service install pressure exponentially.

Gee...cost of goods down, speed of coverage area up per square kilometer= Higher net profits per subscriber on initial subs.

Not a bad week of news so far."

It is likely that the extended range that they are getting out of the backhaul links is the result of high gain directional antennas. These would not be appropriate for the terminal units located in the neighborhoods themselves. Omnidirectional or less directional antennas would be more likely used, which in turn would reduce their range.

"Not a bad week of news so far"

Gotta agree with that Mide...a company PR touting the unbelievable qualities of Hotzone, built by someone else and a lawsuit against the company building the very same thing they're pumping!!

Perhaps the Three Muskateers can get together on the 18th green next to Uli's Naples home and build a few "in-house"? Think of the cost per goods sold then...no employees to pay...no 3rd party manufacturer to pay. Just another way to increase shareholder value and conserve cash!!!
