The kety word here is cheap. AMD is relagating itself to the low end where margins are lower. To me this isn't a win at all.
Once again, AMD's marketing plan is not to make a profit but to get share at whatever cost to the company. If you are a used car salesman then this may be the way to do things this will only send AMD to the basement as far as profits go and maybe ASP's IMHO...
