Makes you wonder if AMD's motive for their relentless pursuit of market share (at the expense of profits, as you are implying) has to do with satisfying some sort of quota. I recall how AMD had to hit certain milestones, late last year, in order to complete a financing deal. Of course gaining market share in and of itself requires no particular motive, so...
