Maybe they have no fear, but if lightning struck once, it can do it again. Think of it as a warning to get out. Like the proverbial one hit of an abuser.
That may be another one. I remember a story about a woman lifeguard that several years ago was attacked and swam back to shore with only one arm and one leg. I'm not sure, but I thought they were two different women. Coud be wrong though. Both stories were on over this weekend. I thought the lifeguard lady was on Larry King and the other was a piece on Paula Zahn on Fox. But I'm old and the memory is the second thing to go.
