Well your first statement was that shorts are extremely worried about being able to cover in near future . Then why would they be shorting now then . It is a weird logic .
If they know that chances of going up are much higher than going down much below .30 or .40 . Then why would they be shorting if they are worried about shorting . You are making general statements which defy logic .

I would think, they could easily cover if they allowed more volatility. Buy on the run to .60 then short to .50 and then buy on the run to .70, etc....I believe in the end they could reduce their number of shorts/naked shorts by employing such type of strategy.
