I am not and have never been a short.

I never intended to have much of a presence on this board. But stumbling upon this message board has been like having a front row seat to a gathering of the Heavens Gate cult or some rabid group of conspiracy theorists.

I’ll admit that it has been morbidly fascinating to see the lengths that grown adults will go to to delude themselves, ignore facts and common sense, and twist themselves into knots to come up with the most far-fetched, convoluted, and improbable explanations and excuses for why "The Plan" isn't going according to plan.

It is my hope that I can bring some people to the side of reason and rationality rather than magical thinking and make believe, but that might be a pipe dream (although even UKinvestingithegoo eventually broke out of their trance and saw the reality that was in front of them all along, so there’s hope yet).
