Which i find odd as the Canadian government has for the last 4 years been adding multiple.... this is one.

NG Cascade Power Project is a 900 megawatt (MW) combined cycle power generation facility being constructed in Yellowhead County, approximately 12 kilometres southwest of Edson, Alberta.

This is just 1.They are in the process of decommissioning old coal fire plant across Kanada producing 2/3 the power.

Not only that but the legacy LNGC plant being built in Kitimat.
