If the goal was to actually reduce pollution, then EVs shouldn't be personal conveyance vehicles but ride share. Then people should be encouraged to drive less. Replacing perfectly good cars is extremely polluting and wasteful. Thus Teslas goal of releasing robotaxi made so much sense. Too bad its software is not up to snuff and continues to cause the cars to go out of control. Therefore robotaxis are not a viable proposition. Thus the only climate solution is to simply encourage people to drive less and upgrade their vehicles only when necessary. However this is bad for capitalism.

I suspect the major auto manufacturers are cutting back on EVs more for image/liability reasons than anything else. EVs are a menace and danger to society. They go out of control or "Maximum Overdrive" on their owners and they spontaneously combust.

Moderna, I have no idea where you have been. The Model 3 costs way under $60K; I believe it costs just over half that. In case you haven't noticed, the Model Y has more sales globally than the Toyota Corolla.

Fake news! You can lease a brand new Tesla's Model 3 for $329/month. You can buy it for $35K or less depending on State.
