Well, as I said, I'm no fan of lecanemab. But if you're going to say FDA approval can be explained only by corruption, then you need to include Mayomobile, Dr. Grimmer, and the entire scientific advisory board that unanimously approved lecanemab as likewise corrupt. You seem to have had faith in the integrity of the SAB that disapproved Aduhelm, but no faith in the integrity of the lecanemab SAB, which strikes me as contradictory. And while I don't know about you, I think highly of Mayo and Grimmer. I don't think the FDA is perfect, but I believe there's a lot more integrity there than you do. And I expect that Anavex, if it has solid data from EXCELLENCE and the Alzheimer's P2b/3, will get FDA approvals. I'm looking forward to it. :)

Just an aside,

Thalidomide is used to treat and prevent erythema nodosum leprosum, a painful skin disease associated with leprosy. It is also used together with dexamethasone (eg, Decadron®) to treat patients with multiple myeloma (a cancer of the blood). Thalidomide works on the immune system to reduce inflammation.Nov 1, 2023

Thalidomide can not be prescribed to pregnant women for the obvious terrible effects is has on a developing baby.
For other uses it is a helpful drug.

It is helpful to remember that as difficult the side effects of lecanemab can be and the expenses involved, there are no other choices for AD. Once 2-73 is approved for AD that difficult situation will improve considerably.
