That’s a good idea. I always have a huge list of things I want to cook or bake and never the time to do most of it. I’m going to have AMAZING meals when I retire.
I was spoiled growing up. My dad and I would go to restaurants all over NYC checking out the competition with the restaurant he ran in the city for 20 plus years.
Since moving to NC fine dining really doesn't exist except for one or two here. Other wise it's mostly brass and glass with easy made computer meals and the restaurants are all graduates from cooking schools like Johnson and Wales. It's all about turning tables and a place won't last without at least 2-3 turns a night.
I think Outback is going out of business and Olive Garden is always mentioned sometimes about going under but their parking lot is always FULL! The old folks love it here.
Janice does know how to cook but she has an Italian influence which I love. However there are ways to cook but I do miss Romeo Salta's in NYC. Their veal was to die for but PETA has ruined finding good veal today unless you order it online. (Janice did find me a place I can order some Her research is superb.) I cried when they closed their doors.
Some of her recipes look tempting but sorting through 20 at a time makes it hard for me to focus on just one.
My initial post on this thread was to encourage K9 to share his knowledge at the Legion. Amazing how he increased sales by 400% when he was working there.
