Apart from what you say, the market makers take stocks through price cycles to create liquidity (volume). We are headed back to the lowest upward trend line as a test of “support” created by them with interim double bottoms. This can include a little water boarding if enough angst can be created for more buying opportunity at the lower price but longs on this board have pretty much wised up to the tactics and know when the dinner bell is ringing ; ).
