This is rather perplexing. Today’s volume for the May 19th 9.50 calls is 3,020 contracts but the open interest is only 18 contracts. Apparently there was a very large open interest that was essentially closed out today.

I looked at that and surprisingly the options only show 18 as open interest.

Does that mean that those options were opened and closed on the same day?
